Brand Introduction of Dunham-Bush Refrigeration Oil
Founded in the early 1900s and headquartered in Connecticut, USA, Dunham-Bush offers a range of high quality HVACR products worldwide. Over time, Dunham-Bush has become an international brand with manufacturing facilities and sales offices in several countries, dedicated to providing customers with innovative and efficient environmental control solutions.

History of the brand
Introduction of screw technology: In 1967, Dunham-Bush introduced screw technology into the field of central air-conditioning for the first time, and the introduction of this technology laid a solid technical foundation for its development in the field of air-conditioning and refrigeration, and pushed forward the progress of central air-conditioning technology.

Entering the Chinese market: In 1995, Dunham Bush set up a R&D centre and manufacturing base in Yantai, and began to lay out its business in the Chinese market. With nearly 30 years of development, Dunham Bush (China) has grown into the manufacturing base with the strongest production capacity and leading R&D strength of the entire Dunham Bush Group.

Global brand strategy release: In 2008, Dunham-Bush released its global brand strategy to build the world's high-end central air-conditioning, with the vision of becoming the preferred supplier of high value-added solutions in the global HVACR field, further clarifying the brand's development direction and goals.

Basic Working Principle
Lubrication: When the compressor is in operation, the refrigerant oil forms an oil film on the surface of the moving parts to reduce the direct friction between the parts.
Sealing function: Refrigeration oil can fill the gap between the various parts of the compressor, play a sealing effect, to prevent refrigerant leakage.
Cooling effect: when the refrigerant oil in the compressor moving parts lubrication, will take away the heat generated by friction in the working process.
Energy regulation: By controlling the oil pressure of the refrigeration oil, the energy output of the compressor can be adjusted to meet different refrigeration requirements.

Features of Dunham-Bush Refrigeration Oil:
System compatibility
Suitable for steel, aluminium and other metal surfaces, reducing compressor wear.
Supporting initial filling and post-maintenance replenishment to extend equipment life.

Energy efficiency and environmental protection
Low volatility design reduces oil consumption and improves system energy efficiency.
Complying with environmental certification and is suitable for green refrigerants (e.g. R32).

Common Models
DBOIL - 2
Kinematic Viscosity (40°C):30-50 cSt
Pour Point: ≤ -50°C
Flash Point:≥ 180°C
Refrigerants:R-134a, R-404A, R-407C, R-410A.
Features:
Excellent low temperature performance.
Low pour point (typically below -50°C) ensures fluidity at very low temperatures.
High viscosity index.
Small change of viscosity with temperature, stable lubrication performance in a wide temperature range.
Application scenarios:
Commercial refrigeration: Supermarket display cabinets, cold storage compressors.
Air-conditioning systems: Central air-conditioning (especially inverter units using R-410A).
Transport refrigeration: Refrigerated trucks, marine refrigeration equipment.

DBOIL - 7
Kinematic Viscosity (40°C):68-100 mm²/s
Pour Point: ≤ -50°C
Flash Point: ≥ 250℃
Refrigerant:R134a
Features:
Excellent chemical stability.
Compatible with HFC refrigerants (e.g. R134a), not easy to produce sludge or acid.
Good low temperature fluidity.
Low pour point (usually ≤ -50°C) ensures effective lubrication even at low temperatures.
Low hygroscopicity.
Ester oils still have a certain degree of hygroscopicity, and need to strictly control the system of moisture (<100ppm).
Application scenarios:
Commercial refrigeration: Supermarket freezers, cold storage screw compressors.
Air-conditioning systems: Central air-conditioning (screw units with R134a).

DBOIL - 15
Kinematic Viscosity (40°C):80-90 cSt
Pour Point: ≤ -50°C
Flash Point: ≥ 250℃
Refrigerants:R134a ,R404A ,R407C ,R410A.
Features:
Excellent thermal stability.
Stable at exhaust temperatures up to 150°C.
Reduces oil decomposition and carbonisation at high temperatures.
Excellent material compatibility.
Compatible with elastomeric sealing materials commonly used in systems (e.g. HNBR, EPDM).
Will not cause corrosion of metal parts.
Environmentally friendly.
Free of chlorine, heavy metals and other harmful substances.
Application scenarios:
Industrial refrigeration: Screw compressors for large cold rooms, chemical process cooling units.
Commercial air-conditioning systems: Central air-conditioning chiller units, modular refrigeration systems, heat pump units.
